Job Description
Job purpose
The primary function of the role is to for oversight of all finance including financial management and reporting and internal systems. This position will manage the finance team and grow as the company develop.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsibility:
Oversee and optimize all finance management processes:
Lead annual budgeting, reporting and planning process
Oversee all finance and accounting team to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting for all divisions.
Improve the bookkeeping and reporting function to industry standards.
Oversee annual audit process
Keep the Group CEO abreast of matters affecting the financial status of the company
Deliver concise yet fit for purpose Group CEO and board briefings on the financial health of the company
Enhancement of financial management processes to drive better decisions in support of accelerated growth.
Improve the financial control function to industry standards.
Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency for all companies.
Ensuring that all accounting processes align to accounting regulations.
Provision of timely and accurate financial information, analysis, and insight including income, expenditure, balance sheet, cash flow and budget holder information.
Oversee and optimize all relevant internal processes and workflows:
In collaboration with relevant functions, oversee the formalization of internal workflows and processes with a focus on customer/stakeholder satisfaction and financial performance
Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
Qualifications
Education: Graduation in finance / accounting 50% - CA Qualified
Skills: Excellent financial skills
Characteristics: Go getter and leadership abilities
Skills:
Minimum 10-plus years of senior leadership experience in fast growing companies
Excellent understanding of financial accounting and financial management requirements
Experience managing a remote team
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and on own initiative
